Q: Appleworks 6.......want to delete some documents.  "help" says go to browse or layout mode.  Where do I find them ?

Appleworks 6.   I want to delete some documents.  "Help" says go to layout menu & choose browse or list.  I must be dumb......where do I find the layout menu ?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.1)

    You don't delete documents from within AppleWorks. Locate them in the Finder and drag them to the Trash.

    The Layout menu appears only when the active document is a Database document. The instruction to 'choose Browse or List" pertains to viewing, modifying or adding or deleting data within a record in the DB or adding or deleting records to or from the DB document, not to deleting the document itself.

     

    AppleWorks Help contains no information specific to deleting documents (files). This is a System function, done as described in Roger's post.
