Hello,

If you use Safari you can download the free Glims add-on here :

http://machangout.com/

One of its feature is dated download folders and could be very useful for you.

Hope ths will help.

Yes, add Date Created column to your view.  View by one of the list views using the View menu -> As List. Control-mouse click the columns and check off Date Created.  Then click on Date Created column header to sort by the date created.

Or bring up the finder View Options for a folder and check of the appropriate Show Columns that you want which has a checkbox for mod date and create date.  You can then sort by whichever one you want.

    hi guys.

i am returning to this one a little late as i try and iron out some workflow issues.

in 99 44/100% of the time my DATE CREATED is the exact same as the DATE MODIFIED. this the issue i ran into before and it makes it impossible to sort by last downloaded since neither of these columns (actually it doesn't matter since both columns show the same date) actually shows /when/ i downloaded the file.

the date shown in here appears to always be effectively some kind of date created and neither ever have anything to do with when i downloaded.

this seems very inconvenient if you use your computer a lot.

    thanks for any info.

perhaps this is for the mac wish/suggestion section?

hi. can i please ask you if it is necessary to download the full version to get this functionality and also can you tell me if this is only dating downloaded /folders/ and not /files/?

    thanks

It's only included in the full version.

I don't use the full version but it should be only the folders. It cost you nothing to try and see if it fit your needs.

This has bugged me for quite some time, and I just discovered a partial solution, at least on 10.8.2:

"Last Opened" is now a sort option -- and while it's not the same as date downloaded, it's more current than Date Created or Date Modified.

    hope that helps,
