Need to know if it is possible to remove the dock so that my little children don't get on it and start pressing all icons possible? I have the track pad so I can just use the launchpad to access anything that I need.

Your little children should have their own accounts, and should not be touching the computer when it's logged into your account.
If I needed parenting advice I would go to a parenting board.

OK, I don't have little children, I just hate the dock. It's ugly and takes up too much screen. How do I remove it?
You can hide it in System Preferences > Dock; however, that only hides it until a mouse is run across the bottom of the screen and it will automatically show.
