The calendar on my MAC syncs to my I-Phone, but the calendar on my I-Phone does not sync to my MAC

Check Settings>Mail,Contacts>Calendar>Default Calendar, be sure you have selected your mac calendar as your default (and not On My iPhone for example).
I don't see "mac" as a choice, would that be "home"?
The choices I have on the I Phone are home, calendar, and other calendars that I personally created
It's probably "home". Choose that as your default, enter an event on your iPhone calendar, then sync. See if it syncs to your mac iCal now.
There are a few meetings that did not transfer even when I changed the calendar type to 'home' on my I Phone.
It's not a big deal though
The other meetings were probably entered before you made this change, so they were entered on your "On my iPhone" calendar, which doesn't sync to your phone. If the test meeting you set up transferred successfully to your mac calendar then all future meetings you enter will successfully transfer too. (If you want the meetings you entered earlier to transfer you will need to re-enter them on your phone, then sync.)
