I shut down my MacBook Air and then logged back in, and when it loaded there was a grey desktop wallpaper and no dock! Why is this happening?!

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7)

Please, help me people! It's really bugging me because I don't have access to my dock and I can't open Finder and things like that! I'm becoming really impatient!

Never mind, reinstalled Lion and everything worked again.

The same problem there, with OSX 10.8.2 in MBP13 mid 2010.
    Any solutions without reinstall everthing?

The command in terminal 'killall Dock' doesn't work for me.

    I deleted this files:

    Reset NVRAM and PRAM.

    And now works again.
