How to prevent adult ads on iPhone?

My wife was playing Angry Birds earlier today and an extremely graphic ad for BaDoink popped up. It advertised for you to "Download our **** App for $1".

First of all, since when are **** apps allowed on an Apple device? I purposely bought two iPhones and a new iPad because of the perceived safety with iOS. My children have been using the iPhones and iPad. I now have ZERO trust that it's safe to have them use the devices.

Second, since I didn't see this occur, it appears that from what I did see that this was one of the "Ads" that pop up while you play Angry Birds. Why in the world would the creators of Angry Birds - a game played by children - allow *********** to be connected with their game?

And third, how do I prevent this from ever happening again. I turned restrictions "On" after my wife showed me the ad. Is that good enough to prevent this?

Thanks.

Wow, thanks for the fast responses.

I don't believe it was an iAd which, correct me if I'm wrong, are the small ads at the top of the Angry Birds screen. This was a full-screen ad and had a "Done" button at the bottom of the screen. As I mentioned, I didn't see it happen but when I turned on her phone the image was still there with the Angry Birds sound running in the background. I'm guessing it's connected somehow to Angry Birds as that was what she was using at the time.

I did send a message to Rovio regarding what happened.

I just experienced this on iPad, plus have found various posts online with people getting the same thing, namely:

- a full screen pop up that appears to be the app store (its just a web page) that's selling a **** app called Badoink.

This happened on a benign site, it wasn't a pop up to do with them.

Seems like this is keeping on happening to some people. I just had it the once yesterday and am waiting to see if it happens again.
