My Logitech Desktop Wave Mac-compatible keyboard died, so Logitech replaced it with a K350 keybopard and M510 mouse. Unfortunately, Logitech no longer supports the keyboard via LCC. Is there any third-party application that will help me regain some of the functionality of these devices in a Mac OS X environment?
On another note, what third-party keyboard/mouse works best with Mac OS X Lion, especially in a graphic design environment?
There are a couple of third-party drivers for USB input devices. One is called "USB Overdrive" and the other, I think, "SteerMouse," or something like that. This is not a recommendation. I generally advise people not to install such things, because they may cause problems, especially if not kept up to date.
I agree with you about installing extra stuff, but that means I need to find a Mac-compatible keyboard and mouse. I always liked Logitech products for their user friendliness and functionality. Any recommendations?
Apple's own input devices are better integrated than others, and obviously they don't need drivers. But for graphic design, you probably want a tablet. For that, try Wacom.
Actually, I just want a keyboard with built-in short cuts and a clickable mouse with multiple buttons. 🙂
I don't have any other recommendations, sorry. I used multi-button devices for years, but I've found that gestures and programmable key combinations are superior.
