I am a new Ipad owner and i want to put my music that i already own onto my Ipad. How do i do this? when I plug into my Toshiba laptop all im able to do is import thie stuff on my Ipad to the pc. i want to put things onto the Ipad not take them off. PLEASE HELP!

Are you using iTunes? Are you able to drag songs from the Music section under "LIBRARY" to the Music section under the iPad, located underneath "DEVICES?"

i dont have itunes on my toshiba laptop does that matter? should i download it for my toshiba?

I'm not sure where you store your music, but import it into iTunes (what format is the music, i.e. mp3?). Then use the instructions in my above post to drag it from the iTunes library to the iPad's library.
