What does any of this mean?

That is, I read the page noted above and it didn't really mean anything to me...seemed like it was talking in a circle. What I am looking for is Apple Security product because my internet service provider said my machine MAY be infected with a "bot" and they are threatening to take away my service unless I get some security work done to clean my machine and protect it from future infections.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

They are probably just trying to scam you. Just run Software Update. If there is anything that needs to be done, it will take care of it.

Thanks. That seems to have done the trick, since the Software Update found some kind of malware, it said, and REMOVED it. Hurrah! Thanks for the great tip. I went to a chat with the internet service provider analysts and they said that would do unless their system detected new or further problems. And no, the service provider is not Comcast...it's CenturyLink, formerly Qwest. Anyway, for the time being, it looks as though that update has taken care of the present bot problem.
