Q: Every time I try to use the DVD drive, it keeps beeping and will not let me reset my MacBook Pro

I was trying to reset my computer and evey time I use the CD to reset my computer, it beeps a few times and does not load any further. I have a 10.6.8 Snow Lepord.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hi..

"beeps"... could be the RAM (memory) needs replacing.

Power On Self-Test Beep Definition - Part 2
You can purchase RAM online and install yourself, but if you are not comfortable doing this yourself, take your Mac to Apple store or Apple certified repair provider.
You can make an appointment at a Genius Bar in advance > Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
