Am I missing something?
When my iPhone dies completely, I plug it into my MacBook Pro and it takes a solid 7 or 8 minutes before the silver apple shows up and it turns on. Whenever I push the home button, the drained battery icon shows.
Is this normal? The same thing happens with my iPad, so I'm guessing it is...really *****.
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1, White, 32GB
Ive been doing a little research, the phone restarts in 8 milliseconds but the perception of the now enraged owner has altered, a time dilation effect occurs and they think it is taking too long.
How can I take advantage of that time dilation? Think of how much I could accomplish!

You mean that nothing happens when you hold the HOME and Sleep buttons, even if you hold them for up to a minute? Are you using an Apple USB wall adapter and an Apple Lightning cable?

Give it 30 minutes to charge and check it again.

yes I realize this but the phone is not under warranty and I have someone here in Mx that fixes phones. currently it is my best and only option.
