iPod touch. Artist info on itunes, but not on iPod

Software version is 5.1.

-I have all my artist set up on my itunes and I can view them all from there, but on my ipod I am not able to see any of the artist info on my ipod.

-The artist was working just fine since the last software update I did which was back at about 3.2 or something like that, but after I updated it erased it all so I tried again and set everything back up manually.

This problem has occured before on other software versions, but not on this most recent one.
