Hi. I am trying to run software update on my computer because iTunes keeps telling me there is an update available, however, when software update runs it says that my computer is upto date.
I have also tried to download the latest version of iTunes from Apple's website. When I try to install it comes up with this error: "An error occured while evaluating javascript for the package."
Anyone hve any ideas?

iTunes normally let you know if there is an App update for iOS devices. iPhones / iPads / iPods etc. Update the app through iTunes or on the device.
Software update is for your Mac,
App Store update is for any app you have purchased for your Mac through the Mac App Store.

Sorry I might not of stated it clearly but I am not trying to update iOS apps. I want to update iTunes on my computer.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select "/var/log/install.log" from the file list. Post the messages from the last installation attempt, starting from the time when you launched the Installer or Software Update. Post the log text, please, not a screenshot.
If there are runs of runs of repeated messages, please post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.

In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, copy the text on the line below into the box that opens, and press return:
/System/Library/CoreServices
In the folder that opens, is there a file with the name "ServerVersion.plist"?
Note: I am not asking about the file named "SystemVersion.plist".
Yes there is.
Are you running Lion Server? If not, delete ServerVersion.plist (not SystemVersion.plist), then try the installation again.
