Q: Wireless keyboard set-up question

The following system requirement is stated at the 'buy wireless keyboard' page: "Bluetooth-enabled Mac computer with Mac OS X v10.6.8 or later and existing keyboard and mouse for initial setup".

I only have the 3rd gen iPad - can the wirless keyboard be set up without a Bluetooth-enabled Mac computer?

Thanks, Joseph

    • iPad (all models)
    • iPhone 3GS or later
    • iPod touch (3rd generation or later)

Thank you, but my question is not about compatibility, which is obvious from the page I refer to.

My question is whether I need to have a "Bluetooth-enabled" Mac computer for the initial set-up of the wireless keybord for use with the iPad, as suggested by the system requiement that I quoted in my post.

    Thanks, Joseph

no... if you read the system requirements for the link i sent you it is the full compatibility list. you dont need a mac to setup the keyboard. That would just pair it to the computer.

you pair the iPad to the keyboard as you would a bluetooth headset, etc.
