Footnote in table?

Hi there,

I think I'm on to a request for future features of Pages, but I'd like to know if any of you knows a work-around.

I'd like to add a footnote / endnote to some text, which is placed inside a table. But, the option is ghosted. Why is this? Is is so difficult for Pages to keep track of the reference, when the text is placed inside an object?

Let me know if you know a way around, or if I'm doing something wrong.

thanks, Rense

Have you thought about the possibility of adding a cell to the table at the bottom, adding your footnote, and making that cell's outlines invisible? That would be one work-around. Or, were you looking for a way to add a footnote at the bottom of the page instead of the bottom of the table? If this is the case, you could always add a footnote corresponding to the table text within the regular text and format the footnote's symbol so that it's the same color as the background (or change its transparency). This version is a longer work-around but if you wanted your footnote at the foot of the page it's the only way I can see to do it.
