I would like to be able to access the internet when out and about - my iphone and phone operator do not allow me to tether ;o( unfortunately!!
If I bought a dongle and used it via the Apple USB adaptor kit - would it work?

The Camera Connection Kit does not support USB network adapters. Your only option would be a MiFi device, if your carrier offers such a think, or to sell your current iPad and buy a 3G model (assuming your carrier can support the iPad).
