I lost power on my iMac and lost my Pages 08 document I was working on (no I didn't save it yet! :-( learning has occurred). Is there a way to recover this document?

Check your trash can. If it isn't there, check this document:

If none of the above tools can do it, unfortunately there is no way to recover.
Backup your data and save frequently to avoid this happening again.
Consider getting an APC Surge protector with built-in battery backup.
It can give you up to 15 minutes time to save files depending on the model you get.
Not all have the battery, so check which is best for your Mac model by contacting APC.
