I have FCP 10 version 10.0 How do I upgrade to the latest version? Do i need to start with a certain version or can I go right to the latest version. Also, please provide step by step on the upgrade or a link that has the details.

Log into the App Store where you bought it and download from there. It should recognise your details.
Lots of people are having trouble with 10.0.4 (like me!). If you need to update for a specific reason, do so. But 10.0 works well for99% of what you may need.
I'm sorry but that's simply incorrect. Version 10.0.0 was very buggy and had a severe autosave problem.
By comparison, 10.0.4 is very stable and a joy to use - with major improvements and new features, such as the best multicam in any editing software.
Log into the AppStore with the same Apple ID you bought the App with, and you can download 10.0.4 - it's a huge improvement.

Understand. But I had no problems at all with 10.0 and now, with 10.0.4, I can't even share without FCP X freezing up my whole sysem.
And there lots more 10.0.4 problems on this board. Just giving my opinion......🙂
