Now, don't get me wrong, issues happen all the time, things go wrong etc. but great customer service Apple in admitting there is an issue let alone advising customers of an outage....I

Apr 21, 2012 8:40 AM in response to snaradby CBPfromTN,Well. Magically, I got up this morning and was able to buy apps. I did NOT change, add or do anything to my credit card info. I did NOTHING and now it works. Not so sure that adding the credit card info had anything to do with it. It evidently was not the issue in my case.

Disappointing thing is that their iTunes Store application is not designed to tell customers when it is down, leaving us to waste our time trying to troubleshoot. Very disrespectful. Amazon it is not.

Am getting madder! Any ideas anyone?

I get the new security question screen, but when I hit "done" it says "can't connect to iTunes store." this has been going on for a week. VERY annoying. now buying books from barnes & noble and music from amazon.

May 4, 2012 4:13 AM in response to sarafigalby NCKKFAN,I am stilll having problems with this on my iPad. I thought all along it was on my end until I found this forum! It is intermittent for me. Sometimes it connects and other times it times out saying I can't connect to the iTunes store at this time. This is very frustrating!

This is a general reply to this problem. I had downloaded SPEEDBIT. I tried getting rid of it but could only wipe half of it as it 'was not fully configured'. Acting on a hunch I reloaded SPEEDBIT (I still could not access Itunes Store) and then removed it, this time with success! Itunes now fine and as a bonus start up time reduced (back to normal). So if, dear reader, you have uploaded SPEEDBIT or anything similar loose it NOW.
PS I had previously reinstalled Itunes so this may have helped as well.
