Q: Set up Match and now redeemed account balance will not show up

I bought, installed and set up match to synch in the icloud. As soon as match was finished doing it's thing my redeemed itunes gift card balance disappeared from my account disabling my ability to purchase anything - it keeps prompting for a credit card. I had a balance prior to install of match. Anyone else seen this problem?

The gift card balance was probably used to pay for iTunes Match, which is possible. Since iTunes Match is a subscription service your account also needs a permanent form of payment, in the form of a credit/debit card, associated with it.
