After implementing all of the above directions, the Apple tv and computer will not sync saying port 3689 is not open

After implementing all of the directions to open the firewall, the Apple TV and Mac will not sync for content and the Apple TV is frozen in downloads for contents purchased

Hmmm, as a test, goto System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Firewall & turn it off for a test.
