has anyone experienced sound problems on iPod nano when charging on another computer?

Whilst away on business I charged my i-pod nano 5th gen on my work laptop which was the ipod was not registered on and following that the sound quality got messed up. It was coming out of the speakers and the headphones at the same time. When I returned home I synchronised on my usual computer which is registered for the ipod and it is now fine.

Has anyone come across this problem?
