Apps not showing in Itunes

I recently did a fresh install of windows vista, and put all of my files back into itunes.

All of my music is now there but my apps seem to be missing. I have added a folder called "mobile applications" into [username]>music>Itunes but still the apps are not visible in Itunes.

I need to sync my phone now but am scared to do so for fear of losing the apps. Can anyone help get these files to show in Itunes?

iPhone 4S, Windows Vista

If the apps are in that folder then try adding it to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Libary. Or, as long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
