Q: I have an airpot extreme but it doesn't connect my IPad3 in my rec room. I bought an airport express and was told to plug it in half way between my computer(in the cellar) and my rec room. I only get an orange lite

How do I get the apple express to work with my apple extreme. I plugged it in half way between my computer and rec roon. I only get an orange lite, not a green one. And the unit gets vey hot.

My main computer is a Alienware, with windows 7. My IPad is a 3.

We need back up a step or two before we can move forward.

Please power off the AirPort Express and move the iPad to the same room as the AirPort Extreme.

Does the iPad connect correctly at that location?
