How do I get my old music back?

My old computer crashed so I lost alot of music then my ipod "erased & synced" all of the music that I had left and replaced it with the minute new stuff I had on my new computer. How do I get my old music back?

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

For other items you have to go where you got them the first time.
