You ned an Internet Service provider. Ultimately you end up with an ethernet connector you plug into your Mac.

You need this AirPort adapter card: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-M8753G-AirPort-Carrier-Adapter/dp/B00006I51H

and an original AirPort Card (802.11b): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000899ZD/

If it is already installed it will be found in ïŁż > About this Mac > More Info...

but your AirPort icon would be present as well: User uploaded file

Note the internal AirPort card can only be installed on slot loading G3 iMacs. Those would be the 400 MHz and faster ones. You're out of luck with earlier models: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2256

iMac G3 is to slow for the internet.

iMac G3 will load Internet pages exactly as fast as it did the day it was built. The problem is that Internet pages have become woefully clogged with gratuitous junk since then. Flash in particular will grind it to a halt.

Turn off Java and use ClickToFlash - same as I do with a brand new iMac.
