Clicking home button

Hey everyone,

Recently I've been experiencing a click coming from my home button on my 5 month old iPhone 4S. If I give the home button a little bit of pressure without actually pushing down the button I get a click. Oddly enough this click only happens when I leave my phone alone for a few minutes it doesn't show up when I push down on the home button consecutively. This issue seemed to have just popped up out of nowhere, any idea if this is a common issue or something else at work here? I should also mention that the home button is function as it should.
