Installing a Brother MFC-J6510DW printer

Hello,

Sorry to trouble you all. My grandfather purchased a Brother MFC-J6510DW all in one printer several weeks ago and since day one we cannot get the thing installed and recognised on his mac.

He running an Imac with OS X 10.7. Originally the computer recognised the printer but when we tried to print nothing would happen. We opened up the printer que and noticed that the job had a error but the system didnt tell me what error.

We have tried for days to try to resolve but nothing happened.

I have visited the Brother website and followed the advice to uninstall all the printer drivers and associated docs and then reinstalled the drivers..... Now my grandfathers machine will not recognise my printer at all and when we try to manually search for the drivers (that we have installed) the mac does not load any for this specific printer.

Needless to say it's causing us a head ache.

Is there anyone out there who can shine a light on our problem)?

Thank you for your time

Tom and Alan
