Adding optical drive to iMac g4 700

I've an old 15" iMac G4 700Mhz that I bought used years ago on ebay as a back up machine. It still works wonderfully and is running 10.4.11. However, when purchased it did not have an airport card, or more importantly, any optical drive. I've been using it with an external and hard wired via ethernet cable to my cable modem.

I'm upgrading my work station based around a MacBook and MacBook Pro with 27 & 20" monitors so no longer have room on the desk for the wonderful little iMac.

It's worth nothing to Apple as a recycle machine, and even on ebay they bring no more than $100. I'm thinking I'd donate it to someone but even a kid will want at least a CD drive and ability to go online.

I'm undecided about bothering with an airport card - think I can find a cheap usb wifi dongle for it. And I can get a cheap ($20) optical drive - but here's my question (finally!) - Can I safely assume the iMac has the requisite hard drive/optical drive "caddy" and the optical drive shield kit - or should I plan to buy those too if I am going to add an optical drive to this machine??

I suppose I can open it up and find out, which I'll have to do anyway, but thought I'd ask before tearing into it.

Thanks!
