May 21, 2012 1:39 AM in response to william ffromcambridgeby BLKbrySYNC,Well there's two ways of doing this?
1.) if still have the dvds set from LP8 I'd say install them first and then download the upgrade again from the AppStore.
2.) or download the entire LP9 again, this is more time consuming though!
Hope this helps!

May 21, 2012 2:18 AM in response to william ffromcambridgeby CCTM,Hi
If the "new Macbook Pro" is running Lion, the Logic 8 installers will not work (without a boatload of extra work).
Are you sure that you purchased LP9 as an upgrade? If you got it from the AppStore, it is the full version not an upgrade. If you did buy it from the Appstore, the simplest way to install it on your new Mac is to repeat the download.

Jun 23, 2012 10:04 AM in response to CCTMby Thunder99,I've got the upgrade as the boxed version. Will I have to install Logic Express 7, then Logic 8, and then Logic 9? Is there an easier way to do this?

Just install Logic 9. The installer may ask for your 8 serial number.
