By "not working at all", do you mean that the power light will not turn on?

yes! bought it today and was setting it up now, suddenly a loud 'click' sound came out of it and it stopped working!

Loud click and then no power .. Just take it straight back to the store for replacement.

Check the Time Capsule on another AC wall socket to see if anything changes.

If no luck, there has been a major component failure inside the Time Capsule. Suggest that you have it replaced, as Apple does not offer repairs.

Loud click sound and then no light or power? Sounds like you may have gotten one of those ones that blown it's power supply!
