Gmail Sync

I'm having a problem with my Gmail account and my iPod. I have the note sync enabled on my iPod and I can see the notes that are listed in the "Gmail account" online when I check my email. However, my already existing notes from before I had sync enabled do not show up in Gmail. Is there a way to copy my notes from the "on my iPod account" to my "Gmail account"?
