Flickering black and white dots on Flash Videos!

Hey guys,

I have a Macbook Pro 15" which i bought last year, so my laptop is about 8 months old now.

For the last month i have been experiencing a strange problem whenever i watch flash videos and in one other instance.

Usually when i watch a youtube video the screen the video has many black dots on it that are flickering. In other case only when i switch the video to full screen do the dots start flickering.

The other case where i get a similar problem is with the icons in finder. When i choose to display as icons, when the icons are selected, there are flickering white dots all over the highlighted section.

I even suspected Adobe Flash Player as being the problem and tried uninstalling, however the problem still occurs with the icons and when i re-install still happens on the video.

When i restart my computer the problem goes away for maybe 10 - 15 minutes.

This problem is incredibly frustrating and I could not find any fix on the internet.

Please help me!!! 😟

Thanks!

Hi There,

I have the exact same issue.

It started with the desktop items and some video sites, then it spread to you tube's thumbnails and now it's also in full screen and in most sites.

I'm convinced it's a fault on the video card, although it happens either you have "automatic graphics switching" on or not...

I've already reinstalled Mac OS X from scratch and it didn't solve it...

Hope someone can help!

Thanks!
