Does Macbook air Superdrive work on MBP

I just bought a new Macbook air Superdrive, it doesn't take in a CD, it does show up in USB

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Mac Mini 1.25 GHz G4 - OS OS 9.2.2

The Macbook air Superdrive only works with MBairs and Mac Minis. It's designed for the Mac models that don't have an internal superdrive.

does superdrive usb worl with Macbook pro retina?

My superdrive was 1 year old (september 2011)

No, but your best bet with an external drive for a Retina MBP is the OWC case with

a drive of your choice. OWC solution is a do it yourself optical drive solution. You can use it with any computer you want.

Does anyone know a metod to keep older superdrive usb MC684ZM/A work on a new macbook pro retina?

by software or by hardware modification I meen...
