I have a Macbook Pro and I have been using Java applets sucessfully. However I did apply the Apple virus fix and ever since that my Ameritrade apps do not work.
Anyone with a similar issue? and was it resolved?

If you applied the update from Apple, it also turns Java off. You will have to manually turn it back on.

This worked for me:
sudo /usr/libexec/java_home –uninstall
sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Java
cd /usr/bin/javaws
sudo rm javaws
At this point, go to java.com and download the latest JRE, then type or paste into console:
sudo link /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws
