I have two folders in my trash which I cannot empty. No matter how many times I try these folders will not go away. I have open the "info" link and marked them read and write without success.  Any suggestions?

Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder and paste the following command line at the prompt:

    rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

    Press RETURN.

See if this works. If it does not then visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on resolving Trash problems.

The Utilitis/terminal suggestion did not work. However, going to the XLab FAQ page did. I used the, "Force the Trash to empty using the Option key", suggestion which did the job completely. Is there any follow up to this action that I should do to assure that the troublesome folders are not lurking somewhere to come back as a problem?

No, this is not a "lurking problem."

Thanks, and keep up the good work.
