Q: Why do I not have the option to purchase movies through Apple tv in Canada?

I can purchase movies through itunes in Canada on my MacBook, iPad or Iphone but cannot purchase through Apple tv in Canada.

 

Why is this purchasing option available in the US, but not in Canada?

    The movie studios have agreed with Apple to trial a period of allowing re-downloads of movies in the US only. In Canada and other places there is no way of transferring the movie you have purchased from your Apple TV to your iTunes library, and would otherwise be lost when the device is turned off.
