An ap called viggle has locked up my ipod touch. it is an ad on words with friends. How do I unlock it?

My ipod touch is locked up my facebook words with friends. An app called viggle is an ad and it is the reason for the screen freeze. How do I unlock it?

Try a reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
