I have tried in all rates of AVCHD and FCE4 locks up when tring log and transfer. I have a Sony MC50U wich has the same AVCHD and it works fine in Log and Transfer. The only thing that is different is the cameras. So is this a FCE issue or a Sony issue. It will play on TV and in Imovie just not in FCE???????

AVCHD cameras can capture and output various footage types.
We need to know exactly what each camera is sending to FCE and also the the FCE EASY SETUP currently in use.

Both cameras are set on AVCHD 1080/60i FX and I never changed the EASY SETUP IN FCE it is on FORMAT=all formats, RATE=all rates, USE=avchd apple intermediate codec 920x1080i60
Try some footage using the FH mode 17Mbps.
Easy Setup sounds OK.
