import messages from e-mail account

Hi,

Yes this is exactly how I set up my account in apple mail, The situation exactly is as follows:

• I cant see my inbox and other folders including its contents for which have been created in windows live.
• I can send e-mails form my Hotmail account using apple mail.
• I cant receive mails to my Hotmail account using my apple mail.
• I have three more mails working perfectly in apple mail. one of them is windows live mail.
• Have contacted Hotmail support and they trouble shoot my account no problem as they recommend to contact apple mail support for that purpose.

Please support if facing this before.

I don't think so, because the windows live mail was configured after the Hotmail. first e-mail I tried to set up was Hotmail then G-mail then I have created the windows live just to try if its going to work or not and its working perfectly.

It shows red dots on Hotmail & G-mail with a note detail; trying to log in to this SMTP failed. verify that the user name and password are correct. P.N. that the G-Mail is working send & receive but the hot mail not.

Also it shows the green dots on my hotmail and my gmail as the name of my mailbox when sated up on my apple mail.

Exactly as you described but my user name as my full e-mail address is,... me @hotmail.com. Still not working situation is as is, can send e-mails from the hotmail account but cant receive mails, also the sent items is not displayed in any of the sent folders in apple mail!

its not accepting a rebuild, clicking on rebuild from mailbox but nothing has change.
