This doesn't work for AC3 decoded audio streams, to be forwarded via the digital out an a mac-mini, towards an AC3 decoder (home theatre)

Itunes should NOT try to do anyting with an AC3 decoded audio track in a movie file. Just forward the track towards the digital out of the mac mini. My decoder will decode it. So no vollume interference and/or trying to decode, when i chang in itunes movie playback from english stereo to englisch surround.

There are a lot of discussions going on, but NOWHERE i see an answer from apple, that IT IS THEIR MISTAKE, that the itunes "SOFWARE" does not work correctly wiht digital audio, that does NOT need any decoding. A lot of forum noise going on, but not many people understand how it works. Ohter players like VLC player CAN play the AC3 5.1 track (the same track, to the same output channel).

Please APPLE,

A write a note on this if it is not a sofware fault and you have a solution for me OR

or

B CORRECT the mistake in the iTunes sofware !!!

And one other thing: Please allow additon of any kind of movie/audio to itunes. I use it as an archive and I don't want to convert movies and/or audio all the time. It is too time consuming to do so.
