Automator "move finder items to trash" won't work on folders

Is this a bug?

I have Folder A. Instead folder A are a bunch of files and other sub-folders. I use automator to delete the contents of that folder. If I use Ask For Finder items and select files then move finder items to trash, it works fine. As soon as I add folders it craps out saying it wasn't given a specified item. The only way I've successfully deleted the contents is by using Get Specified Finder Item (select Folder A) and then move finder items to trash. However it not only deletes the contents but the parent folder (Folder A) itself. This is undesireable and I can't figure out what else to do. Anyone?
