This worked! I had to try a couple times but it stuck to the tape and popped out. Thank you!!!

Just turn of your macbook. Hold macbook with drive facing downwords & shake it in vertical direction. It worked well for me.

More genius than waiting 3 days for Genius Bar appointment. I used double sided tape on a credit card (found other cards too flimsy) and successfully pulled out both the mini disc and DVD my kids had wedged in there! Thanks, so much!

wow...Am I glad to fix this problem....I thought that I was f***ked. A mix of tape on a CD and then shaking it as mentioned, with the drive openning facing the floor. I had originally tried to use a large safety pin -actually a kilt pin- to pry it out and it forced it right in there, so the credit card with tape wouldn't work, but using a CD and then shaking it as mentioned....out it dropped.

Boy am I glad....the mini disk said for Mac/windows/linux so....

I had the same problem... But all i did was type in this : /usr/bin/drutil eject

in the terminal application under the utilities folder and hit enter.... Then i just shook my Macbook Pro till i could see the cd popping out!! Easy as that... took me less than 30 seconds !!

Thanks for the advice! It worked perfectly first try! I did know better than to do that and won't do it again.

i didnt need a vaccum but some forcfull jolts holding the MBP on its side got it out. I got laughed at but it worked.

I LOVE this forum - thank you all, a used train ticket with two sided tape easily did the trick!

i actually tried using my thin metal ruler. Worked like a charm...dont know if it destroyed it though. BE super careful guys! 🙂

Thanks a ton. I did as you said.. Typed /usr/bin/drutil eject in the terminal application, turned the MBP with slot facing the ground and shook it twice and the cd popped out.

Sigh!!!!

Holding the MacBookPro with both hands, rushing down and coming to a sudden stop. The most simple and the most effective method to get that minidisc out. Thanks.
