Apple's site where you install your iWeb website will no longer be usable. iWeb itself will still function and you can put your website on another host. See How to move an iWeb site from MobileMe to another web hosting service
If you wish to continue using iWeb be sure you don't delete it and be sure you have the installation DVD for iLife just in case.
Yes, its true.
iWeb offers two other ways to publish a site...

... and there are lots of options for hosting...
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work with other servers but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: iW14 - Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.

Hello,
I have a question; if in the near future I should install i-Life 2012, I-web will non longer be part of the package (which is truly a pity by the way).
I still have the CD with I-Life 2009; will I be able to install only I-Web 2009, while all the other application will be I-Life 20xx?
Thank you
Mike
NO IT IS NOT TRUE. You can still use iWeb, but NOT MobileMe which will be shutting down at the end of June this year - do you not see the difference between the two?
A simple search of this forum would also have given you the answer.
Roddy,
No, it is not true - the original poster put will iWeb be unusable after June 30th this year and the answer to that is obviously NO as it is MobileMe and not iWeb.
