Insufficient permissions to save my files.

Question

Hi,when trying to save my files with older Applications like Photoshop CS4, Scribo and many others, I always get the error message that I don&#x27;t have permission to save the file.I already booted into Recovery mode and tried to repair ACLs and permission with that hidden feature in password-reset. After letting it run for 10 hours, I canceled it without success. I tried to change the file permissions manually - no success.I&#x27;m pretty sure that is related to that annoying new "instant save" feature.The only way I could work out is to save files to another drive with another file system (FAT32!!!)That is really driving me crazy. I don&#x27;t have the time and energy to reinstall 10.6 right now and migrate all my data back.After installing 10.7, I&#x27;m really thinking about going back to Windows...

Where are you trying to save the files?

In a folder under my home folder (e.g. Documents / Desktop...)When I save a file with other applications like Eclipse, TextEdit, texstudio and others, it works in the same folders.

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:ls -AOel ~Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered — the text, please, not a screenshot.

OK, I have the same problem. I did what Linc Davis suggests in Terminal. My problem has been fixed after the last major update of 10.7.(like many other real bad bugs got fixed by just waiting for the next update, like in good old Ms-Dos 6.0 times...)But 10.7 is still very slow (Save Dialogs take couple of seconds to open for example) compared to 10.6Waiting and hoping for 10.8.
