i did not see the message your iphone unlocked after i did backup and restore after at&t confirmed my unlocking.pl. suggest

Did you do the Restore by clicking the Restore button in iTunes? First connect the phone, then click on its name in iTunes, then look at the screen on the right for the Restore button.
Only way to find out is insert a different sim card that is not AT&T and is GSM like T-mobile, and if it works, then you should know that it is unlocked.
i did the restore from right click of my iphone name but not the restore button.
i tried inserting t-mobile sim card but it says no service and when i put back at&t sim signal catches up, i again called at&t guys this eveng and they again confirmed me back sayin ur iphone is unlocked !!! im confused here ...
I have the exact same problem, got the email from ATT and restored but did not get the completion message and the phone is not accepting any other sim.
Contacted ATT and Apple through them, and they say there might have been an error and will have to open another case which will be resolved in 7-10 business days. This after already waiting 12 days.
Give them time unlocking is a very new culture to AT&T
It took UK carriers a while to come to grips when they started unlocking 2/3years ago
The Restore using right click ONLY restores backed up data. It does not restore iOS, which is required to unlock.
Click on the iPhone name with the phone connected by a USB cable. Look to the right. You should see a button labeled "Restore". This is the button to restore iOS and unlock the phone.
NO, as per AT&T mail and apple care advisor i need to restore from the backup but not the RESTORE button, it resets all the settings.
even i called at&t and they routed me to apple care but after waiting for an about 15 mins waiting for apple care guys, call got disconnected. did they say any solution from apple care or at&t? or just wait for 12 days ?

even when i called apple care they told me the same to get my phone unlocked.
You misinterpreted what they said. Yes, the Restore button will reset all settings. That's the point. It needs to. You can then restore your backup. If you don't click the Restore button your phone will never be unlocked.

Well you right clicked your device, have you actually tried clicking on "Restore" button on the main screen after your phone is plugged into itunes?
Try this, first back up your iphone, by doing to right click your iphone and click on back up. Then on the big screen where it has all the tabs and where it says "Check for Update" underneath it is "Restore" hit that button and see if that fixes it.
done this way , but no luck.
went to apple store last evng. they told ty cant unlock only at&t can do, from there went to at&t store, they told ty cant do it at store.can be done by calling customer care. but called **** number of times. now this is deadlock. im struck here. 😟

2# If you have an iPhone 4 or 4S, then an AT&T Real MicroSIM(not one that has been cut down) must be in the phone.
