ATV digital lag stuttering on new tv

I have had atv2 for about a year now using it on a toshiba 32 in HD flat screen with 720p with no problems.

I recently hooked it up to a new LG 42 in LCD with 1080p. You can see a definite lag or stutter in the video from time to time. It's like when someone makes a quick move on the screen it gets slowed down to a fram by fram look. Thats the only way I can explain it. Its very annoying. The tv works fine with DTV, and the DVD player through HDMI inputs. The lag only shows up with the ATV. Is this some kind of refresh rate problem? Or maybe the HDMI cable isn't fast enough for this tv? Maybe a wifi problem? I just can't imagine what would cause this. Any suggestions would be welcome.

BTW- I am using an Airport Exteme for my wireless router and the ATV is in the same spot it was when it was working fine with the older tv.

Thanks for the link. I am familar with all of those issues. And as I said I had no problems at all with the older TV. I have DSL at about 10 Mps. The TV has a feature called Anti-Judder. If I turn the setting to high the stuttering (or juddering) increases. If I turn it off the stuttering is less but still there. Its definitely some sort of digital lad time issue. Its not buffering at all. No steaming issues. Thats what I'm thinking anyway.

I would agree that in some way it has to be the TV. But the TV plays all other source content fine. So maybe its some sort of comaptibility issue with the ATV? I would think the ATV would work with all the new model TV's just fine. I was hoping there were some settings I could change to make them get along better. Some settings I could check or tweek on the ATV. I have not tried to hook up the ATV to the old set up again. Huge pain to do that now. I guess its possible the ATV just coincidentally went funny when I did the TV swap. But not probable. Murphys Law might be coming into play here. That would be my luck.

The TV User Manual is written for basic users. No technical troubleshooting or info at all. No help there.

I am going to try a "high speed" HDMI cable that can handle 240hz frame rates, 15 Gbps, and 1080p and higher just for giggles and grins. Try the weakest link in the chain first I guess. Though I dont have much faith that it will make any difference.
