/Shared/SC Info/SC Info.sidb?

I encountered a problem running intego's personal backup tool. There appears to be an error with this file but apart from a google search I don't know how to proceed. I understand that the file relates to iTunes and authorisation of my machine but as it is a hidden file and based on the fact that I have zero experience of terminal, I just don't know what to do next. Repair Disk and Repair Disk Permissions haven't removed the error from my backup routine. All music and videos are playing including purchased.

Any ideas?

what exactly do you want to do?

Indeed this file contains all your iTunes authorizations - but it's hidden.

There are tools available to make it visible like http://www.bresink.de/osx/TinkerTool.html

I was hoping to resolve the issue by not having errors when backing up the entire mac HD to an external drive.

All of the purchased iTMS files playback that are in my purchased playlist. There are some songs that I backed up on to my mac whilst a friends iPod is being repaired that are purchased and unauthorised. Could this be the reason why the error is occurring. However, I didn't have the problem on 6.0.2

What will the tinker tool permit me to do with the files in question?

Tinker Tool has an option to make invisible files visible: You will be able to copy the mentioned file resp. set correct permissions on it easily.

Purchased but unauthorized files - imho - will not cause any trouble when performing a backup.

You might try to run Disk Utility and "fix permiisions" - maybe that solves your problem as well.
