I just got my first Mac, and now I need to reformat my iPhone. I don't want to lose all of my content. My PC iTunes account uses the sample Apple ID as my MAC, so is it just as simple as plugging it into my Mac?

You don't "format" your phone. If the iTunes library you were syncing with on your PC is identical to the library on your Mac, & all of your data is present on your Mac, and you've authorized your new Mac: Store>Authorize this Computer, just plug it in and sync.
I see, thanks! So then my problem is with the data transfer. I got the information from my PC, but it created a second user on my Macbook, so now I have two user accounts. Any suggestions for that?
