Deleting iCal unaccepted invitation

My iCal icon in my doc shows an unaccepted invitation. I searched my e-mail for an invitation and couldn't find one. Then I deleted all of my junk e-mail. The red (1) is still on my iCal icon.

How do I locate the invitation to either accept it or reject it?

Just so you know, scammers now add invites in email that ical finds and posts at top of ical. That is unless Mohammed Ahmedal is not a scammer for Private Loan Founding, from UAE dubai seeking investment opportunities. Apple might want to consider a function to disable automatic appoinments, as I certainly am hesitant to respond "accept" or "decline" or "maybe". Who wants to send a reply message to a scammer? So they know that I am here and ready to be breached?
